Questions on the shelf
19 questions, sorted by the six domains of the 2023 map. Each has two starter cards, one on each side. 12 come from public Polis conversations, where 8,345 people between them voted on each other’s statements, and their pages show how those votes fell. The rest are questions this family’s other sites already ask, and one new one. The domains, and the subject each question sits under, are the 2023 map’s as it was drawn, which files housing, justice and the environment under Defence.

Where the statements come from
The Computational Democracy Project, which makes Polis, publishes the anonymous statements and votes from some public conversations as open data. The hearth uses twelve of them, read at one fixed version (3be5785), and shows each statement word for word with its counts. Every question page says how its statements were chosen. Nobody who took part in those conversations wrote anything on this site, and their statements are not positions on the hearth’s cards.
